We’re seeking a **Monitoring and Feeds Technician** to play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced observability solutions across naval platforms and onshore systems. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a mission-critical environment.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Design and manage monitoring solutions using the **Elastic Stack (ELK + Beats)** across on-prem and cloud platforms.
- Build and optimise **data pipelines** (Logstash, Beats, custom agents) for telemetry, log, and event feeds.
- Create dynamic **Kibana dashboards** to visualise performance, availability, and security.
- Define and manage **alerting rules** to drive proactive incident detection and response.
- Contribute to **incident response and root cause analysis** through forensic log analysis.
- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging tools and technologies.
- Develop and maintain **SOPs, build guides, and technical documentation**.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Proven experience in **Defence environments**, especially with monitoring and data ingestion.
- Strong background in **Linux administration**, virtual systems, and distributed infrastructures.
- Hands-on expertise with the **Elastic Stack** (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
- Solid knowledge of **log aggregation, metrics collection, and event-driven monitoring**.
- Experience with **hybrid cloud or containerized environments**.
- Scripting ability in **Python or Shell**, and familiarity with syslog, SNMP, and APIs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of **SEA2273 Minerva systems**.
- Understanding of **cybersecurity frameworks** (ISM, zero-trust principles).
- Experience with **ADF deployed environments/platforms**, including unique security and networking constraints.
