**The Facility**:
This is an acute care teaching hospital of approximately 600 beds, and a tertiary referral centre that provides a broad range of specialist services to the local and regional community. This is the largest public hospital in the region, supporting a population of almost 540,000, with strong links to community-based services that provide continuity of care for patients. The hospital is also the principal teaching hospital of the region with close links to the 17th best university in the world and number one in Australia.

**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Cardiologist to join the Cardiology team on a Full time/Part Time Basis. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer this role plays an important role in delivering high quality cardiac care.

The Department of Cardiology is a well-established service with 14 consultant medical staff positions, four Accredited Cardiology Advanced Trainees, and two Unaccredited Cardiology Advanced Trainees, in addition to Basic Physician Trainees and other Junior Medial Officers.

Work as part of a large multidisciplinary team including specialist nursing staff, cardiac physiologists, cardiac sonographers, administrative staff and the cardiac rehabilitation team. Patients accessing the services include adults of all ages, acuity, frailty and disability, who present for diagnosis and treatment of a range of acute and chronic cardiac conditions.

**The Requirements**:
You must hold the FRACP in Cardiology & hold Specialist registration with AHPRA.
