**About us**
SDIEA is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1998 and based in Warwick, servicing the Southern
Downs region and potentially outreaching to neighbouring regional communities. The organisation provides a variety of services including but not limited to career and work transition, mentoring, youth worker support, welfare and employment programs. The organisation has had a primary focus on young people but is now extending services to people 15-65 years. SDIEA is an incorporated body governed by a board of
Management made up of school, community and industry representatives. The organisation is moving toward becoming a self-managed organisation, where staff and board members all contribute to successful operations of the organisation’s services to the community and meeting compliance with funding bodies.

**Primary Purpose of Position**:
At an organisational level the Get Set For Work Coordinator is responsible for the delivery and targets of the
Get Set For Work contract and the supervision of practitioners.
At a people level, the GSFW is tasked with ensuring all practitioners have the support, tools and knowledge to effectively deliver on SDIEA’s contracts.
At a procedural level, the incumbent will develop, implement and maintain systems and procedures that align with and ensure that SDIEA remains compliant with contract guidelines, targets, internal policy and procedures, and industry Best Practice for non-clinical youth support services.
**Reporting relationships**:
This position reports directly to the General Manager. The incumbent must maintain a strong and cooperative working relationship with other members of the Leadership Team and Team of Practitioners, reporting to them regularly in relation to the state of service delivery.
**Key responsibilities/ Duties**:
- Identify, develop and deliver Get Set For Work programming to meet outcomes
Training and Leadership
- With Office Coordinator and General Manager provide leadership to staff to ensure SDIEA meets its objectives
- Conduct weekly intake meeting with all practitioners, allocate cases
- Support, encourage and advise office staff in their work including direction/redirection and disciplinary action (if required) as per set procedures
- Reinforce internal Policy and Procedures
- Attend and contribute to Leadership Team meetings
Risk Assessment and Management
- Reporting identified hazards and appropriate risk control measures to the management team
- Follow up on risk assessments to ensure they are being carried out and remain current
**Accountability**:
- To the General Manager and Board of Management
**Deliverables**
- Conduct weekly intake meetings with practitioners
- Re-enforce Policy and Procedures
- Encourage, support, direct/redirect/discipline participants (if required) to meet contractual and organisational objectives
- Support Leadership Team in decision making and any change management
- Contribute to strategic planning and direction
- From time to time professionally represent the SDIEA at board meetings, conferences meetings and workshops
- From time to time, other duties as directed by General Manager within the scope and level of this position
**Performance Standards**:
- Tasks allocated to the position shall be performed to agreed standards and in accordance with established procedural guidelines.
- Allocated tasks and reporting requirements are consistently completed within the agreed time frames.
- Demonstrate a spirit of cooperation toward other employees and clients.
