SDIEA is a not for profit organisation established in 1998 and based in Warwick, servicing the Southern Downs region and potentially outreaching to neighbouring regional communities. The organisation provides a variety of services including but not limited to career and work transition, mentoring, youth worker support, welfare and employment programs. The organisation has had a primary focus on young people but is now extending services to people 15-65 years. SDIEA is an incorporated body governed by a board of Management made up of school, community and industry representatives. The organisation is moving toward becoming a self-managed organisation, where staff and board members all contribute to successful operations of the organisation’s services to the community and meeting compliance with funding bodies.

**Primary Purpose of Position**:
At an organisational level the Business Traineeship Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Workplace Skills Traineeship. This includes supervision of Trainees, management of workflow, Operating to a Zero Harm requirement through implementation of Workplace Health and Safety protocols, following Health Directive and implementing Covid safe plans, ensuring all equipment is well maintained and clean, establishing strong relationships with events community and taking direction from stakeholders including Warwick Show and Rodeo Society, Celtic Fest, SDIEA, Jumpers and Jazz in July and Southern Downs Regional Council.

At a people level, the Program Deliverer is tasked with ensuring all Trainees have the support, tools and knowledge to effectively deliver on SDIEA’s Business project.

At a procedural level, the incumbent will develop, implement, and maintain systems and procedures that align with and ensure that SDIEA remains compliant with contract guidelines, targets, internal policy and procedures, and industry Best Practice.

**Reporting relationships**:
This position reports directly to the General Manager. The incumbent must maintain a strong and cooperative working relationship with other members of the Leadership Team and Team of Practitioners, reporting to them regularly in relations to the state of service delivery.

**Primary Purpose of the Position**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise 10 Trainees to complete their Work Skills Traineeship
- Deliver and facilitate programs which meet the trainee needs.
- Undertake a Case management framework focusing on what’s possible for the trainee.
- Responds to and delivers programs in accordance with contract guidelines, requirements and legislation
- Undertakes responsibility for specified program logistics, participant support and liaising with RTO’s and other relevant stakeholders to ensure program is delivered on time and within training package requirements, funding agreement and organisation expectations
- Compiles useful case notes and data
- Identifies and recruits’ trainees who will gain value from SDIEA traineeship in conjunction with General Manager.
- Identifies and recruits high quality trainers, volunteers and contributors (in conjunction with Program Co-ordinator)
- Ensures specified programs are resourced, delivered and completed as needed
- Hosts program evaluation and reflection
- Establishes timelines and resources of specified programs and ensures they are met (in conjunction with Program Co-ordinator)
- Defines work plans for assigned services and activities (in conjunction with Program Co-ordinator)
- Sources facilities for programs (in conjunction with Program Co-ordinator)
- Seeks work placement for participants/clients in relevant programs
- Gathers resources for programs and events including board meetings
- Operates in accordance with SDIEA purpose, values and principles
- Compiles relevant data, statistics and information for final reports as well as other governance responsibilities
- Finalise and submit reports to funding bodies as required
- Supervise Trainees
- Achieve required KPI’s around enrolment, delivery, completion, and employment.
- Complete Training for Success Plans to assist trainees achieve required program outcomes.
