**About the company**
Based in Glenorchy near Hobart with operations in the North and South of Tasmania. Our client has 160 years of experience as a leading global provider of compressors, blowers, and vacuum pumps with people that have a passion for making a difference in what they do. Our client provides critical flow control and compression equipment and associated aftermarket parts, consumables and services, which it sells across multiple attractive end-markets within the industrial, energy and medical industries. The company has a friendly culture where they look after their employees. Looking for a Service Technician (Compressors) but will also accept people with an automotive background.
**The role**
You will be responsible for installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of a range of compressors while co-ordinating the day to day running of your workload. In the event of a breakdown you'll need to test the equipment/system and carry out fault finding and repairs. You will be required to travel between Hobart and Launceston. This position requires a 50/50 split between Service Technician and Sales to build the business in Tasmania. Someone who has run their own business would be ideal for this role. Excellent communication is needed due to this being a client facing role. A vehicle, tablet and mobile phone is provided with the package.
**What you will be doing**
- Conduct the Installation, fault finding, servicing and Maintenance requirements
- Assist with technical issues and troubleshooting
- Develop key Client relationships for establishing business opportunities
- Servicing of equipment on customers sites
- 50/50 split between Sales and Service and Liaise with customers internal and external.
- Ensuring delivery of excellent customer service.
- Ability to be able to cope with varying roles during your daily duties
**Skills & Experience Required**
- This role requires a Service Technician/ Maintenance Fitter
- Knowledge of Compressors or similar
- Trade Qualifications Cert III - Fitter and Turner
- Knowledge of Safe work practices
- Organised self starter
- Demonstrated Analytical and problem solving skills
**On Offer**
5 day work week with an on call roster allowance and 4 hour call out fee. 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
90K once bonuses are included + Super + overtime and paid weekly. Ownership Share Scheme with 10% annual salary paid yearly.
Vehicle provided with fuel card plus limited private use. Tablet and mobile provided
