**Position Overview**

We are seeking a **strong, proactive, and experienced** Disability Support Worker to provide **personal assistance and community engagement** support to clients. This role requires someone with the **physical capacity to assist clients**, particularly those with mobility challenges, and the enthusiasm to encourage participation in meaningful activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide **hands-on personal assistance** to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Support clients in **daily living activities**, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- **Encourage and facilitate community engagement**, helping clients explore new activities, social opportunities, and hobbies.
- Bring **creative ideas** to motivate clients, introducing engaging activities tailored to their interests and abilities.
- Assist with **physical support needs**, ensuring clients feel secure and empowered.
- Actively participate in **cooking and meal planning**, fostering independence and involvement.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and other support staff to achieve individual goals.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working in disability support or a related field.
- Strong **physical capacity** to assist clients safely and confidently.
- A proactive, creative approach to **engaging clients in new activities** and building social connections.
- Ability to **motivate and empower** clients while promoting independence.
- Knowledge of **community resources and activities** to support inclusion and participation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g., First Aid, NDIS Worker Screening Check).

**How to Apply**

Pay: $32.79 - $41.76 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
