We are working with the team at Resolve Software for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join as a PMO Manager.
You will oversee the project management operations, minimize variances, optimize resource management, and support their sales process.
Additionally, you will lead and develop a team of Project Managers, ensuring their personal growth and performance management.
**Company Overview**:
Resolve Software is an Australian software solutions provider specializing in bespoke software development for a large government department and its business units.
With a diverse range of approximately 150 customers, all owned by the company, Resolve Software is known for its commitment to delivering high-quality projects and exceptional client satisfaction.
They have a remote team of around 70 talented individuals located throughout Australia, with an office in Canada.
**Responsibilities**:
- Drive the quality, productivity, and efficiency of Resolve Software's project management operations.
- Minimize project variances, preserve daily rates, and ensure the delivery of profitable projects.
- Accountable for resource management and planning across the project portfolio to achieve targets.
- Manage a team of Project Managers, including personal development, performance management, and quarterly reviews.
- Regularly collaborate with stakeholders, including Delivery Managers, Sales, and Project Managers.
- Support the sales process by contributing to tender and proposal documentation.
- Ensure adherence to Resolve Software's project implementation methodologies, such as Prince2 and agile principles.
- Create, own, and maintain relevant project management documentation templates and artifacts.
- Act as an escalation point for Project Managers, internally and externally, and take appropriate action.
- Maintain a high standard of communication, verbally, written, and in presentations to internal and external parties.
- Develop, implement, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the PMO.
- Oversee Risks, Issues, Scope, Time, and Cost Management.
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Incorporate lessons learned from completed projects into updated processes.
- Backfill Project Managers when they are on leave.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in a PMO Manager or similar role within a software company.
- Strong background in resourcing and scheduling, data analytics, and KPI management.
- Familiarity with project implementation methodologies, such as Prince2 and agile principles.
- Excellent leadership qualities and the ability to drive accountability and credibility.
- Commercial acumen with a focus on delivering results.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Flexible to travel and work across different time zones.
- Experience in team management and fostering personal development.
- Outcome-focused with a keen eye for detail.
