**The opportunity**:
As the Medical Physics Technician you will play a role in supporting the Western Australia Medical Physics team and Regional Medical Physics Manager at ICON Cancer Centre. This role involves providing medical physics support services to the radiotherapy practices across the Midland and Rockingham sites. This position would suit a BSc / MSc graduate looking to gain some hands-on experience in the field of Medical Physics, or an engineer who has experience working with radiation oncology equipment.

**Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant will work as part of the WA Medical Physics team in providing support for medical physics quality assurance activities to the radiotherapy practices operated by Icon Cancer Centres. Experience in this field is desirable, but not essential as appropriate training will be provided for this role. This is a full-time fixed term role that reports to the Regional Medical Physics Manager.

**About You**:
The successful applicant will be highly motivated with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and will be expected to take on a supportive role in the operation of day-to-day medical physics activities. They will be expected to work independently, follow instructions efficiently, and have excellent communication skills.

**Essential Criteria**:
Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Science, or equivalent.

Upon completion of training, ability to perform routine medical physics tasks independently following approved work instructions and procedures.

Proven ability to work independently.

Demonstrated high levels of communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary team.

Capable of self-directed work and possessing excellent problem-solving skills.
