The purpose of this role is to lead and manage programs that support the work of the VCE Curriculum Unit relating to the implementation of VCE in schools and other providers. The role will include the management of the process to provide permission to providers to deliver the VCE program. This involves working closely with the Department of Education and Training (DET), the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA), schools, non-school senior secondary providers, Catholic Education Commission of Victoria (CECV) and the VCAL Unit in the VCAA. The role involves extensive stakeholder management, and high level quality assurance of the permission to deliver the VCE process based on expert knowledge of VCE administrative, curriculum and school-based assessment requirements. The role will also involve management of other special projects and programs within the VCE Curriculum Unit and support of projects across the Curriculum Division as required. A key objective of the role is to continuously identify opportunities for the improvement of implementation of the VCE, including the permission to deliver VCE program, whilst operating within the VCAA's regulatory responsibilities.
