**The Role**

In this role, the Engineering manager will have an incredibly exciting opportunity to lead cutting-edge technology that drives efficiency and innovation in solar cell manufacturing. Photoluminescence systems play a critical role in monitoring and analysing solar cells' quality and efficiency in real time, directly within the production line. This position not only involves solving complex engineering challenges but also contributes to advancing renewable energy solutions on a global scale. By optimising these systems, the Engineering Manager will have the opportunity to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance the performance of solar cells, supporting a more sustainable future. **Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, deploy and enhance systems for:

- Developing and documenting product requirements and specifications.
- Planning and allocating work. Tracking work progress.
- Storing information and documentation related to the projects at hand.
- Developing CAD models - both mechanical and electrical - and associated drawings.
- Versioning and releasing CAD documentation.
- Performing design verification and product validation.
- Capturing, processing and responding to support requests.
- Performing quality control on finished products.
- Actively use all of these systems to manage the day-to-day engineering team's activities.
- Architect the hardware and software configurations of products and associated test systems under development.
- Select hardware components and software programming tools to be used in the development.
- Mentor team members and actively promote upskilling. Recruit new team members when appropriate.
- Organise workspaces and maintain inventory. Ensure adequate computer resources, tooling and PPE are available.

**Essential Requirements**
- Degree qualification in relevant engineering discipline
- 5+ years’ experience working as a professional engineer
- Experience managing and coaching a team of engineers
- Experience using Jira and Confluence
- Excellent problem solving skills, and a proactive approach
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
- Inclusive leader, able to liaise and capture requirements from different departments

**Desirable Skills**
- Experience designing and building control systems for factory automation
- Programming experience, preferably in C++ and C#
- Experience with programmable logic controllers

Pay: Up to $175,000.00 per year
