**About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division**
The Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the delivery of the Early Years Commitment program, including comprehensive investments in the critical first 5 years of life for every child - in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long term reforms for the future. Key initiatives will include supporting families with young children to access the services they need to support their own prosperity and wellbeing; valuing and growing the early childhood education and care sector and investing in early childhood teachers and educators.
**About the Universal Preschool Directorate**
This is an exciting opportunity to help make a difference to the lives of children, families and communities NSW. The Universal Preschool Directorate has roles available across the three teams:
- Universal Preschool Delivery
- Universal Preschool Design; and
- Centre for Excellence in Early Childhood Quality and Transitions.
Centre for Excellence in Early Childhood Quality and Transitions
The Centre for Excellence team is focused on designing and delivering policies, initiatives, tools and resources to support Early Childhood practice excellence, learning frameworks and assessment, transitions (including the transition to school) and learning quality preschool. The Centre for Excellence is a multi-disciplinary team that recognises the importance of the early years and is focused on supporting the provision of high-quality early childhood education and care to all children and families in NSW.

**Key knowledge and experience**

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
