Sushi Bay is an established Japanese restaurant located in Macarthur Square, Campbelltown.

We are looking for motivated and energetic kitchen staff that can excel in high pressure/high turnover environments. Most importantly, kitchen staff will be required to display proficient skill and understanding of Japanese cuisine, food safety and hygiene practices and be able to work well in a team.

Your duties will include:
Follow the directions of senior staff at all times.

Preparation of ingredients and menu items depending on your station.

Maintaining knowledge of the complete menu, daily specials, and available items.

Receiving supplies, stock control and organising.

Managing usage of stock to lower food costs and reduce wastage.

Ensuring the premises and its equipment is clean, including proper maintenance and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and work stations.

Strictly adhering to food, sanitary, and safety standards.

Being able to learn and perform work at a high intensity to keep up with customer demands.

Applicants with 2+ years of experience as a cook/chef is highly preferred. Applicants must develop an understanding of our menu and therefore an understanding of Japanese cuisine is highly preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 38 per week

**Salary**: $20.33 - $43.20 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Campbelltown, NSW 2560: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Kitchen: 1 year (preferred)
