Hunter Executive are partnering with a privately owned, national, award-winning engineering consultancy during a period of substantial growth.
Our client has a solid pipeline of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects across Victoria and has an opportunity for an Associate who is an experienced engineer, with a background in land development to play an instrumental role in leading their Melbourne team.
**About the role**:
Our client pride themselves on being hands-on and therefore although this role will ultimately join the management team, this Associate will be hands-on on projects, have business acumen, leadership skills and previous experience developing new business.
Working closely with the Directors this role will grow and manage residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects across Victoria including subdivisions, roads, reserves, drainage, water and sewerage reticulation and civil infrastructure.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle and ensure the project is completed on time and to budget
- Providing sound technical/delivery guidance for the team
- Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and designers
- Liaise coordinate, and negotiate with authorities, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and clients
- Develop new business, prepare tenders, and administer contracts
**The ideal person will have**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in Land Development in a consulting environment
- Ideally 7+years' experience as Senior Civil Engineer, Project Engineer or Project Manager
- Knowledge of relevant Australian design standards, codes and local regulations
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Previous leadership experience
