- You’re an effective communicator who is passionate about safety and can demonstrate the lengths you go to when it comes to implementing safe work practices and bringing everybody home safe every day.
- As an experienced civil maintenance or construction worker in the utilities sector, you have a strong history of delivering works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- You have sound team leadership experience and will be able to describe how you overcome difficult situations faced within the workplace setting.
- Having negotiated with multiple stakeholders you will be able to confidently describe how you’ve successfully tackled complex tasks in the past.
- Skills:
- Leading various sized internal and sub-contractor teams
- Induction, training and development of Team Members
- Implementation of safe work systems and practices including:

- Following Work Practice Procedures
- Carrying out field audits and reporting hazards and incidents
- Experienced in Excavation and Pipe Laying to correct lines, depth and grades, pipe bedding, pipe laying, backfilling, consolidation and reinstatement
- Experience using steel, cast iron and plastic pipe including use of marker tapes, tracer wires, installation of valves and fittings, tie-ins to live mains tapping of mains, etc.
- Asset location and verification experience using DBYD and EMF location techniques,
- Coordination of all required field documentation
- Sound planning and organising skills are a must
- What do you bring?- This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a passionate and committed team delivering maintenance services in the exciting Melbourne Gas market- In addition to the above, we require an individual with;- Licenses; Industry induction white card, MR/HR license,
- Cert II or III in Gas Supply Industry Operations preferred,
