**About the Role**
LOCATION: _R E D C L I F F E _
- Please be advised that the participant is in his late 50s and suffers from Paranoid Schizophrenia. We are seeking a MALE support worker in their mid 30s-40s that is firm but not 'pushy'. Someone that is easy to talk / get along with, however has strong boundaries. **_
- **At the participant's request, we are seeking an individual of an Australian background, that speaks clear English. **_
- Prompting with personal cares
- Prompting with medications
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Light household duties
- Assistance with creating an effective routine
- Must be proactive and take initiative
- Must work autonomously to provide appropriate levels of support to maintain and improve the participant's level of independence
- Great communication skills
- Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct
- Ability to work in partnership with NDIS participants to achieve their goals
- A passion for assisting individuals who struggle with a disability to improve their quality of life

**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who holds a minimum of a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) **OR **a minimum of 2 years support work experience and the following qualities:

- Working with children card (Blue card)
- NDIS Worker Screening check (Yellow Card)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Current Police Check
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Driver's License
- Registered personal vehicle with comprehensive car insurance and a willingness to use for transporting clients (when required)

**Additionally, you will need**:

- Clear _Verbal and Written_ Communication
- Compassion and Empathy
- Have an understanding of ABI (highly recommended but not essential)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 16 per week
