**The Role**
The Coordination Officer is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex administrative support work within an integrated workforce, provide support to the Senior Executive, and exercise a high degree of discretion, judgement and professionalism.
The role is both a coordination and advisory role that encompasses several important functions:
- On behalf of the First Assistant Secretary Service Delivery (FAS SD), coordinate the development and preparation of high quality advice for a range of Ministerial, parliamentary, and media correspondence.
- Creating and fostering high functioning networks and relationships with Ministers’ Offices, wider Defence and also within Service Delivery Division and Security and Estate Group, to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken.
- Coordinate, task, monitor and report on all incoming correspondence and taskings from multiple stakeholders on behalf of FAS SD.
**About our Team**
Service Delivery Division (SDD) provides essential, on-the-ground services and support to Defence personnel around Australia. The Office of the First Assistant Secretary Service Delivery (OFASSD) is responsible for the quality, consistency, accuracy and timeliness of responses from SDD through establishing a single entry point for all requests that require Senior Executive visibility, approval or clearance.
The OFASSD also provides high level executive support to the First Assistant Secretary Service Delivery of ASSD works closely with the Office of Deputy Secretary Security and Estate as well as key stakeholders such as:
- Office of Associate Secretary
- Ministerial and Executive Coordination and Communication Division
- Infrastructure Division
- Security Division

- Have excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of PDMS is desirable.
