**About Us**
BGC’s Materials Technology Centre is a centralized NATA accredited technology hub using the latest LIMS software, specialized purpose-built testing equipment and facilities to provide accurate and timely test results.

**The Opportunity**
Due to significant growth of our Materials Technology Centre, we are seeking an enthusiastic Concrete Field Technician to join our
**field testing team**, mainly testing concrete materials.

This exciting opportunity is a full-time permanent role working Monday - Friday with overtime options available.

**Your role will include**
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, health, and environmental requirements
- Preparing and testing concrete samples out in the field, in accordance with industry standards
- Participate in equipment R&D, trial mixing and calibration
- Ensuring accuracy of test results and timely output of work
- Assisting with data entry for all monitoring and verification activities
- Developing professional working relationships with key customers (internal and external)
- Opportunities to learn and work across multiple laboratories within MTC

**What we’ll love about you**
- Interest in construction materials testing and sampling-concrete is desirable but not essential
- Excellent people skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Detail oriented with strong time management skills
- Understanding of Australian Standards, MRWA standards and working knowledge of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Competency with relevant technical systems such as Qestlab, desirable but not essential
- Current Driver’s License and Construction Industry White Card
- Cert III in Laboratory Skills or Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques, desirable but not essential
