Reporting to the Director, this role supports the management of the interface and engagement with the clinical and community mental health and AOD service systems in the south and east regions of Victoria, including the eastern half of Melbourne. The role leads commissioning, service system performance and quality and safety oversight activities of the current system, including reforms arising from the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.
The role seeks high performing individuals with strong leadership, people management, system management, stakeholder management, and communication skills. The role would be suited to individuals who are self-starters and are comfortable working with unfamiliar and complex issues, and working in collaboration with a range of senior internal, external and cross-government stakeholders, including clinical stakeholders.

- Able to demonstrate expertise in engaging with the mental health, AOD and health service systems to ensure the delivery of high performing accessible, safe and high-quality services?
- Skilled in leading in a complex environment with a strong focus on improving outcomes?

**Accountabilities**
- Lead the management of relationships, commissioning, service performance and interfaces with clinical mental health services, mental health and AOD NGOs specifically around performance, access, safety and quality of mental health and wellbeing services.
- Identify, monitor and develop appropriate responses to emerging service delivery issues through development of excellent working relationships with health service executives, stakeholders and mental health and AOD NGOs.
- Provide detailed advice, recommendations and program options and solutions to complex and sensitive issues.
- Actively support the development and delivery of Royal Commission recommendations and innovation in meant health and AOD service delivery and performance to improve safety, sustainability and outcomes.
- Work in collaboration with a broad range of partners and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
- Model adaptive leadership attributes and the behaviours and attributes of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Division.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
