Disability Support Worker

We are seeking **qualified Disability Support Workers** from the **Western Metropolitan of Sydney** for existing and new clients.

Your primary role will be providing one on one support to our NDIS participants within their home or out in the community. This can include:

- Household tasks - household cleaning and laundry
- Skill development - shopping, cooking, catching public transport
- Transport - transport to appointments and/or shopping
- Social & Community participation - engage in the community, meet people,
- Respite care - support the Participant while the primary carer has a break

**Requirements**:

- A genuine willingness and ability to show compassion towards NDIS participants
- Minimum of Certificate III in Individual support, Disability support, Aged Care, Ageing Support
- Minimum of 6 months paid experience in supporting people with disabilities
- A current driver’s licence & fully insured vehicle (to be used for work purposes)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR or willing to get one. We will support you.
- Be available at least 2 days a week (not including weekends)
- Two relevant, professional and industry related reference checks

**Advantage to have**:

- Manual Handling certificate
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module training certificate
- COVID-19 Infection Control training certificate
- Ability to work on weekends
