**Barwon Prison** is looking for
**Permanent Part-Time Medical Officer.** Barwon Prison is a maximum-security men's correctional facility located in Lara, Victoria.

Our Medical Officers are an integral part of the primary healthcare team at the correctional facility and are primarily responsible for:

- The provision and supervision of medical care to patients
- Providing medical input to clinically related matters
- Evaluation of medical programs and medical services required and/or provided
- Working as an integral part of the health care team for the site and for Correct Care Australasia (Correct Care)

**Essential experience and attributes include the following selection criteria**:

- Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
- Fully registered by AHPRA
- Post graduate specialisation in General Practice: Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Fellowship with The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine is highly desirable
- Experience in mental health, drug and alcohol and emergency care
- Ability to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment
- The ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
