**About the role**

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Workshop Technician is responsible for assisting with the consistent rebuilding of Liebherr’s large excavator fleet modules. This role is an ideal opportunity to enter the Mining industry or continue your journey with a world leading OEM. The module program is an important step in the overall maintenance and life of machine activity, that ensures the ongoing reliability and performance of Liebherr’s equipment.

**Duties**:

- Strip and inspect R996B and R9400 engines, hydraulic tanks and servicing module units, including pumps, gearboxes, engines and ancillary system components.
- Inspect components for conformity and produce reports
- Work autonomously in a group environment in a safe and efficient manner
- Able to adapt to workloads while maintaining quality standards
- Identify and follow schematics and parts manuals
- Carry out reassembling of module units, including engine, gearbox, pump units, hydraulic and electrical circuits, and ancillary system components to completion with an eye for detail
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment
- Maintain and repair damaged or faulty parts and equipment
- Carry out a high standard of work including all HSE and quality documentation
- Mentor Apprentices and other new starters

**Skills and Experience**:

- Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant, Light Vehicle Mechanic, Fitter/Turner, Fixed Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Highway Trucks
- Liebherr mining equipment experience advantageous - however not essential
- Ability to work autonomously & as part of a team
