**Position overview**

Do you have experience supporting students to develop core study and writing skills essential to their learning and success, a passion for teaching in higher education, and a broad understanding of the higher education student experience? We are seeking a Learning Adviser to join our team of professional staff to contribute to student learning at ANU.

Working with our friendly and enthusiastic team, you will use your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to help a diverse and engaged cohort of ANU students to develop academic literacies. Your work will include one-to-one consultations and group training, alongside ongoing learning resource development. You will collaborate closely with academic and professional colleagues to embed academic literacy support within disciplinary contexts. You will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to projects for best practice and program innovation. You will work with the Manager to assist in team leadership.

The Academic Skills program is a central support service delivered by the Academic Competencies and Digital Capabilities (ACDC) team within Scholarly Information Services. We are dedicated to empowering students to become effective members of their scholarly community. As a central support service, the ACDC team is a touchpoint for shaping university wide approaches to academic literacies. Using evidence-based teaching and learning approaches, the team specialises in fostering the development of fundamental academic literacies within disciplinary contexts.
