The Process and Change Specialist is responsible for supporting and driving change and efficiency, consistency and integrity across key initiatives within Financial Control.

The role is part of a team of process and change experts, with a primary responsibility to drive change across key processes, but whom may also be deployed to support other change projects/initiatives across the wider financial control community & other activities that relate to embedding and sustaining change and supporting the Group Financial Controller.

The team works in close collaboration with all Heads of Divisional Financial Control, HFC Leads in Manila and generally across Financial Control and Finance Systems Data & Innovation (FSDI). In addition, this role will also have to collaborate with areas outside of Finance, such as Group and Divisional Technology, Data Management Teams, Governance, Credit and Operational Risk teams to list a few.

**The role is responsible for supporting the GPO Lead in**:
Being part of a team in designing a strategy and supporting the delivery on key projects and initiatives as part of our Financial Control Optimisation journey.
Supporting and executing change in a well-managed fashion in accordance with the agreed delivery schedule, and in line with key Policies and Procedures. You are also expected to lead in the delivery of selected initiatives.

Developing relevant KPIs to measure performance

In addition to the above, you will bring your technical skills and expertise to the role, which includes knowledge of the Bank’s core systems landscape and systems/process flow to downstream Finance Systems, EDW, Teradata/Finance Data Hub, SQL, OSX, and PSGL/Hyperion. You will also possess the ability to use large volume of data in analysing, interpreting and problem solving as well as process re-engineering. Existing knowledge of Finance period end activities will be beneficial.

What your day looks like
Develop and maintain effective relationships with Heads of Divisional Financial Control, HFC Leads, the broader financial control team and teams outside of Finance.
Build collaborative relationships with other senior finance and other management functions to enable effective exchange of information required to support financial control initiatives
Ensure that initiatives are delivered on time and budget, managing expectations of all relevant stakeholders along the simplification journey
Develop and embed a robust risk, governance and ‘control conscious’ culture
Support and assist with operational reporting and compliance framework (PPM reporting, percentage of completion, delivery at risk, etc)
Create a culture of continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing/best practice across all Financial Control teams, including promotion of change best practice (Lean, Agile etc)
Drive simplification, standardisation, and elimination of financial control activities/processes in a well-managed fashion, ensuring appropriate change management and controls are in place.
Ensure that key change initiatives are delivered on time and support the related reporting of the project status to stakeholders, including in PPM.

- A Bachelors’ university degree and be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), and at least 6-8 years of experience in delivering change initiatives that is heavily driven by data and process re-engineering
Experience in establishing, planning, and managing projects end-to-end, and being able to engage and operate autonomously. Effective execution of improvements to processes or reporting; experience in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, HCD highly regarded
The ability to handle big data and large volume of data in analysing, interpreting and problem solving
Deep knowledge of key systems (core banking and finance systems), technical skills to access and interpret the required information, and a base knowledge of how Finance operates
Excellent communication and stakeholders’ management skills
