**Wrights, the butchers**, are a specialist Wholesale Meat Company importing Spanish Ibérico & Serrano Jamón, Italian Prosciutto and Japanese Wagyu beef and exporting premium Australian meat products to over 25 international destinations.

We offer varied opportunities for skilled Butchers to join our team.

The varied role will be assisting in arranging and preparing orders for Leading Hotels & Restaurants. You will learn about our business while assisting our head butcher in maintaining operational systems, accepting, rotating stock and taking the lead position as a support to our other team members.

Previous managerial experience will be an advantage but not a necessity in securing a position with excellent pay rates and conditions with a well-known and respected Meat Company.

This job would suit a passionate professional trade butcher willing to make the business their own. We are working with some of Australia's highest-grade meats. You will be given the tools and information to assist our clients, some of Sydney's and Australia's leading Restaurants and Hotels, with their butchery requirements.

Butchers with Retail experience would be suitable and able to pick up this work style very quickly and assist with handling our HACCP and other QA programs associated with the business.

**Responsibilities** include (but are not limited to):

- Large scale fresh meat handling
- Meeting production schedules
- Cutting/trimming meat to customer specifications
- Working in a cold environment
- Line set up & dismantling of equipment
- Maintaining high levels of hygiene
- Demonstrating good safety practices
- Other related activities as required by the head butcher.

**Salary**: $21.00 - $40.00 per hour
