With a history of servicing NSW for over 20 years and being independently owned, this enterprise has an extensive cross-section of clients being builders, firms, and local customers.

They are known as a specialist in Timber, Paint, General Hardware, Building Supplies, Power Tools Accessories, Paint Accessories, and Gardening verticle with a business model very much based on customer service, pricing, and keeping it local - employing local staff and supporting the community.

They support their clients in every stage of the project with advice and solutions that suit their project, budget, and schedule, building lifetime relationships.

**THE ROLE**

This role really is one of the most important roles in the company. It requires someone dedicated, with a trade or industry knowledge background who will own the role at hand.

You will be the first point of contact for all clients, albeit over the phone or face-to-face.

The clients will rely on your knowledge, past experience, and customer care to ensure their selection, project needs, and choices marry up with the direction of their plan

You will pride yourself on doing whatever it takes to get the correct product to your client when they need it, where they need it.

This is where your expertise will showcase skills such as;
- Check pricing and stock running a diverse and changing database working two sites across Sydney.
- Liaising with customers and drivers, coordinate and ensure they meet delivery timelines
- You will work autonomously within the team on counter sales, where your opinion, and advice will be paramount to the client at hand.
- You will use your industry knowledge to build your network and leverage from this to upsell and service your network.
- Building relationships and maintaining existing ones to maximise your sales.
- Follow current procedures and ensure the database is always live.
- You will be making decisions every day that ensure the smooth running of customer needs coupled with their scheduling of deliveries.
- You will always be anticipating potential changes, anomalies, and how to manage customer expectations.

**THE ESSENTIALS**
- You will have worked within the construction, building, warehousing, manufacturing, and industry or have a trade.
- You have a mature approach to your work, your communication is your forte.
- You are direct yet personable, and you work efficiently and without supervision.
- You have attention to detail as well as the ability to multitask.
- You will have excellent ERP / database management skills
- You also have solid exposure to working to policy, procedure, and adhering to WHS awareness.
