Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry. Our Burleigh Heads retail ready facility services major retail customers with a range of meat products. The site operates seven production lines and employs approximately 200 team members who work across warehousing, production, quality assurance, maintenance and other corporate enabling teams.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to lead our fast-paced warehouse team in a thriving FMCG meat processing environment. Our warehouse team of 20+ is pivotal to the success of our Burleigh Heads site, receiving and dispatching inventory and ensuring our Production team have a steady supply of product. In this role you will report to the site Operations Manager and partner closely with the Production, Logistics, Quality and Safety teams to ensure smooth operation of the warehouse while leading and developing your team including three team leaders / supervisors.

In this role you will lead a team who work two shifts, one starting from 5am and the other from 9am Monday to Friday as well as a small team who load out over the weekend. Your working hours will have some flexibility but will need to ensure visibility over both shifts Monday to Friday. It is expected that on occasion you will start earlier, finish later or attend site on a weekend to observe start up, close and weekend processes.

**What you'll do**:

- **Team Leadership & Development**: Lead and support a team of over 20 staff, including team leaders and supervisors. You’ll play a key role in mentoring and developing future leaders.
- **Operational Management**: Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes. You’ll need a proven track record of successfully managing operations in a busy, high-pressure environment.
- **Growth & Production Scaling**: Manage the warehouse through periods of growth and increased production, ensuring that capacity and efficiency targets are met or exceeded.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve processes, and enhance team performance to achieve higher efficiency.

- Strong track record in managing warehouse teams and overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and related technology.
- Ability to manage high-volume production environments with a focus on growth and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
