General Laborer

It would suit a person who wants a change from the everyday 8 - 5 routine work environment and is free to spend up to 90 days a year away from home.

**Duties**
- Installation of light and heavy vehicle plate brake testers at different sites around Australia
- Diagnosis of problems with brake testing equipment if present (and packing of correct parts, selection and packing of tools to effect repairs)
- Service plate brake testers - including - removal of plates, cleaning and lubricating relevant parts, inspect and test load cells, reassemble, and test computer, camera and printer.
- Perform a brake test on an available vehicle and analyse results - carry out calculations and calibrate equipment as required.
- Perform repairs on equipment: diagnose problems, replace parts, and re-test
- Analyse mechanical issues and findings from service visits clearly and in a timely manner - under supervision of Engineers

Full training is provided but a mechanical background in the automotive/Heavy Vehicle Industry is an advantage

8am - 4 pm

**We are seeking a worker who has**:

- Mechanical background would be advantageous.
- Current driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Be a team player and a people person.
- Physically fit (a health screening is required)
- Ability to use power tools.
- White card, high reach forklift license or willingness to obtain relevant certification.

- 10 hour shift
