**Governance Manager**
**About the Role**
We're on the lookout for a Governance Manager to join Youi and take the lead in managing our partnership and channel development initiatives. In this role, you'll oversee project delivery, drive transformative initiatives, and ensure adherence to risk and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Partnerships, we're seeking a self-motivated individual who thrives on autonomy and is exceptionally well-organised. It is crucial to have a solid understanding of insurance operations, as this role operates autonomously while considering the impact of actions on the team.
Join our highly dynamic team and seize the opportunity to build systems and enhance skills typically not found in other governance roles. This hybrid position can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, or at our HQ on the Sunshine Coast, offering flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
If you are a proactive and driven individual with a passion for governance, compliance, and partnership management, we want to hear from you
**Key priorities**:
- Oversee Third-Party (TPs) - underwriting agency and their outsourced providers, ensuring alignment with guidelines and SLAs.
- Integrate issues into Youi's management process and manage daily workflow in the Strategic Partnerships team, including partner negotiations and onboarding.
- Facilitate initiative management activities related to our TPs.
- Establish effective Third-Party monitoring, supervise obligations and customer outcomes, foster innovation, collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvement and deliver outcomes.
- Ensure continuous improvement and compliance with the risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
- Manage relationships with statutory regulators to maintain their confidence.
**About You**
You should ideally possess:
- A tertiary qualification, preferably in business, project management, risk, or finance.
- Experience in overseeing and governing third parties, particularly with Underwriting agencies and Third-Party Claims Administrators.
- Knowledge of legislative and technical requirements impacting the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead amidst ambiguity and provide clarity to stakeholders and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills with a knack for defining and implementing process improvements.
- A driven self-starter with an optimistic, growth mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging, negotiating, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Exposure to analysing customer data and deriving insights to address issues is advantageous.
**How to apply**
No agencies currently, thanks; we have this one covered.
**About Youi**
At Youi, we don't believe in conforming to the status quo. We're not your typical insurance company - and that goes for our approach to both selling insurance and hiring our team.
