This position will be working in Projects & Delivery Section, Observing Systems and Operations (OSO) Program in the Data and Digital Group, undertaking the duties of radar project installation planning, coordination and management.
We require a Radar Installation Manager with extensive and recent experience with planning, coordination and installation of complex weather radars. This position would suit an applicant with outstanding communication and liaison skills, who has a high degree of initiative and ability to self-manage. Experience establishing strong working relationships with stakeholders and project team members, employing a consultative and influencing approach is essential. To be successful, you will have sound technical knowledge about installation of a typical weather radar station including the tower, equipment shelters, generator and air conditioner systems.
To undertake these duties, the occupant will require a strong background in the installation of complex electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical systems and associated infrastructure. The ability to manage work schedules and act as a team member as required. Effective communication skills are also necessary, as is a proven ability to form and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external colleagues.
