Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers.
We are currently partnered a highly regarded NDIS Disability Provider that provides SIL services for adults with a range of disabilities and needs.
We have plenty of exciting opportunities with immediate starts, which pay and treat you better than other agency work does, providing you the right pay and terms and conditions you deserve, such as overtime penalties, weekend and weekday shift loadings paid per the industry award.
**What you need**:
- **Demonstrated experience working as a Disability Support Worker**:
- **Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)**:
- Australian Driver's License (minimum P2)
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Medication Training (or willing to complete a course)
- Manual Handling Training (or willing to complete a course)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable smart phone with data
**Overview of the role**:
- Provide day-to-day support adults living in SIL arrangements and help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts - morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), overnight (predominately sleep overs)
- Combination of short & long shifts (3 hour minimum)
- Assist participants with a range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, using manual handling equipment, domestic & meal assistance.
- Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
- Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
- Support people within both group settings and 2-on-1 arrangements.
- Use a company to transport participants to community-based outings.

- Casual position with consistent hours & routine rosters however staff are required to cover emergency shifts.
