Right at Home Sydney Central and Eastern Suburbs provides high-quality in-home care and assistance to our valued clients in the Sydney Central and Eastern Suburbs. We support people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs, and older Australians. Our services help clients remain safe and independent in their own homes. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

**About the role**

We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable, and passionate Personal Care Workers to join our team in Kingsford and surrounding areas. It is preferred that you are an experienced Aged Care Worker or Disability Support Worker. You will need to be friendly, and positive and demonstrate client-focused behavior, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference and be honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

**Responsibilities will include**:
**Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client**
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support
- Providing support with academic, social, or recreational activities
- Preparing food, feeding clients, and administering medications
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
- Responding to emergency situations
- Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

**Essential Criteria**:

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Current unrestricted driver’s license with a preferred car
- Endorsed to administer medication (desirable)
- Comprehensive car insurance (desirable)
- COVID19 Vaccination (mandatory)
