About the Role
As the Deputy Principal (Special Education) (Differentiation) you possess a passion for promoting and embedding an inclusive culture and practices within the school community, ensuring equity and excellence, with a strong desire to engage, connect and enhance learning outcomes for students with disability and/or support needs. You will:
Lead the Differentiation faculty including teachers and teacher aides to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students;
Lead the development and implementation of high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance with related legislation and policies;
Provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments (including EALD);
In conjunction with the Principal (Secondary) and Senior Leadership Team develop and implement targeted intervention in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy in response to student data;
Manage special provisions for all students with a personalised learning plan and/or ICP;
Manage allied health professionals and external agencies providing support to students;
Motivate and engage staff, students and parents to ensure a climate of support and high expectations;
Implement and coordinate school-wide systems including data systems to monitor students with disability and record the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability.

Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide curriculum leadership, particularly in the area of special education and differentiation, with particular reference to differentiated and targeted teaching interventions using data informed practice leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
Demonstrated experience in the provision of strategic advice and implementation of teaching and learning programs, initiatives and adjustments for students with disability in accordance with legislation and policies within a large complex school environment, evidencing measurable outcomes.
Capacity to manage effectively human, financial and physical resources as a Faculty Leader to deliver high quality organisational outcomes.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
