**Kitchko is an online marketplace that connects customers with local chefs offering high-quality, unique and diverse cuisine options.**

**This position will play a huge role in supporting Kitchko’s market stall operations offline and helping us reach a bigger audience of customers that attend market stalls each week. While also having an opportunity to be exposed in all aspects of our sales and operations process, to targeting customers that come to the market and also looking out for any new partnerships.**

The Role

Join our team and help us grow We are looking for a casual event staff driven to join the company. This person will be responsible for setting up and operating at Market Stalls on weekends (Saturday and Sundays) their role involves going to weekend markets and setting up a pop up stall, merchandising, and selling already prepared food products from our home chefs.

While also have partnering opportunities with any potential new clients as well forging new relationships within your community. If you have strong closing skills and excellent organizational and management abilities and are able to work autonomously then get ready to join forces

These qualities will help you succeed in this role:

- Driver Licence and your own car (most important)
- 1 year of experience in Sales / Customer Service
- You're a gun when it comes to finding creative new ways of getting customers to buy come visit our stall.
- Food Safety Handling Certificate is preferred
- Past experience of working at a pop-up stall is preferred
- Able to plan, and have exceptional organisational skills.
- Have an eye for detail and any merchandising experience
- Competitive nature and possess high curiosity quotient
- Energetic, self motivated, and highly organised
- You love trying new foods and learning about different cuisines and cultures
- Must have your own car

**Responsibilities**:

- Move stock and equipment to and from car to stall area.
- Assist with set up and take down of Market stall Gazebo, table, display case, and ancillary items.
- Learn about various Kitchko food products offered by the chefs and promote them to patrons at the market
- Sell the food products and other items to customers
- Serve, pack and prepare items to be handed to the customers
- Take card payments and cash payments and issue change
- Record sales for each product
- Comply with Covid safe work practices
- Comply with work health and safety procedures

- Creating new, innovative sales tactics by collaborating with the marketing team to boost marketstall sales.
- Upselling products to ensure sales targets are met.
- Exceptional organisational skills and punctuality to ensure you are setting up the pop up stall on time and packing up upon closing.
- You will be working mostly autonomously and coordinating with senior mamagent week on week to ensure smooth Operations and function of the stall.
- Work closely with the Hero chef at the stall to help promote sales of their products.
- Conduct a stock take and audit for items each week and ensure they are always restocked.
- Talk to prospecting chefs and upselling opportunities with delivery or food safety qualifications packages to onboard them with Kitchko.
- Understand the products and ingredients used to make these products to ensure any customer queries.
- Successfully manage and overcome prospective customer objections.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- You will identify chefs' needs and communicate these back to the team along with offering recommendations to ensure all the needs are addressed.
- Participate in a workshop with the Marketing and Product team if you’re in the office or go out and join other entrepreneurs at events like food trade shows or market stalls to find new leads.
