We have an exciting new opportunity located in Lane Cove for a liquor professional to lead our Dan Murphy's Cellar. The Cellar will offer a dynamic and carefully curated range of relevant and interesting premium wines, craft & premium spirits and selected beers. **About the role**

As a Cellar Store Manager, you inspire and lead a team of industry professionals to curate best in class, guided experiences to customers to facilitate their discovery of the world of drinks. Your passion for product and customer experience combine to enable you to create best in class, memorable experiences for your customers.

**In this role, you will**:

- Provide authentic, personalised, memorable experiences to your customers, sharing your knowledge and passion to help customers navigate the world of wines.
- Create exceptional customer experiences through concierge style customer service, transporting customers into a world of wine where they feel free to explore premium, interesting & emerging styles or unique wines
- Lead a team of equally passionate liquor industry professionals
- Create strong connections with both your customers and your local community
- Execute an operationally sound store, ensuring compliance and adherence to all operational guidelines and policies

**About you**

At Dan Murphy’s our customers are at the heart of everything we do and how we connect with them is critical to our ongoing success. You are an experienced liquor industry professional, with a passion and knowledge predominantly in wine, looking to grow your career. This role will allow you to continue to expand on your product knowledge, share your love for product with our customers and develop your leadership capability as you take ownership for the day to day operations of the store, as well as developing the knowledge of your team. You know your customers and you understand the importance of exceptional customer experience. You are an expert in the world of wine and love learning every day to expand your knowledge to discover the world of drinks.

**Other key competencies relevant for the role are**:
**Critical**:

- Extensive product knowledge, predominantly in wine
- WSET Level 3, or equivalent, or the ability to obtain in a reasonable timeframe
- Extensive experience working within and a passion for the liquor or hospitality industry
- Experience leading teams in a customer service environment
- Ability to analyse and interpret data, as well as engage appropriate stakeholders to influence product ranging in store.
- High level communication skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners as well as industry connections
- Commercially minded and the capability to interpret and take action on business results
- Ability to work key customer hours
- Ability to hold a liquor licence

**Advantageous but not essential**:

- Experience engaging with customers through social media / technology platforms
- Visual merchandising experience
- Operational/Retail store leadership experience
- Experience engaging with / interacting with local the community
- End to end experience in executing customer events
