**The opportunity**
Silverchainis seeking an experienced
**Clinical Trial**
**Manager** to manage an industry-led clinical trial evaluating an innovative model of care that aims to improve the mental health of aged care recipients.
The clinical trial is led by Professor Tanya Davison at Silverchain and conducted in partnership with Monash University and several other university partners, with funding from the Medical Research Future Fund. The trial will implement and evaluate an innovative, Australian first model of care designed to address high rates of depression among older Australians who receive community aged care services. If effective, this model of care will transform routine care and inform practice nationally.
This role offers an opportunity to conduct research embedded within one of Australia’s leading home care providers, in a rapidly growing research program with strong organisational support.
**Key responsibilities**
The major accountabilities of this position are:
- Develop a project plan, project documentation and management systems for successful trial completion.
- Create an effective project governance framework involving Silverchain, trial investigators, consumer advisors, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor and drive timely completion of trial milestones.
- Oversee participant recruitment and stakeholder management.
- Recruit and supervise trial staff.
- Prepare reports for trial oversight committees and communications to the investigator team and key stakeholders.
- Support the Chief Investigator in the financial management of the project.
**About you**
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, public health, allied health, medicine, nursing or a related discipline).
- Good Clinical Practice certification.
- Demonstrated experience in managing all aspects of clinical trials, including pre-trial planning and management of trial staff, in a healthcare or aged care setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements for clinical trials and clinical research.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of project management, including budget management and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to response innovatively and adaptively to achieve outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in monitoring and reporting to multiple stakeholders and to funding bodies.
- Experience in utilising research software (e.g., REDCap) for data collection and management throughout the trial life cycle.
