**About the Role**:
Due to ongoing success and business growth KB Seafood Co are establishing a processing facility in Morningside, Queensland which will pack a variety of chilled and frozen seafood products to be distributed across Australia via our expansive supply chain network. This site will operate in a fast-paced environment working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are exceeding our customers’ expectations.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced QA Technician to join the site team for our start up site.

Reporting to the QA Manager, the role will be responsible to work with operational departments within the business ensuring the day - to - day compliance of our Food Safety and Quality System.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Carry our daily review of GMP in the factory (operational areas) and externally, and to help regulate company policies and procedures regarding food safety and compliance.
- Conduct Internal Audits of the operational areas for foreign objects and maintain the Glass and Hard Plastics Register for all production, storage, and maintenance facilities as required.
- Assist with organoleptic assessments - carry out organoleptic product assessments and check retention samples on their best before date evaluate the quality and freshness.
- Review, amend and maintain packing specifications for the production areas.
- Inspect returned stock with quality issues, and report on findings.
- Help investigate customer feedback reports and internal corrective actions.
- Assist QA team with site audits and corrective actions.
- Assist QA Manager with additional testing or new process improvement projects, and product assessment trials.
- Assist with Quality Control duties when required, and with any QA related activities, in the absence of other team members.***

**About You**:
You will be an experienced QA Technician, with a sound knowledge of quality assurance procedures, a good eye for detail and advanced problem-solving skills. You should be able to accurately identify production irregularities and maintain a safe working environment.

You will have:

- A bachelor’s degree in quality management, food science or related field
- HACCP Training
- Strong focus on general safety standards and work methods
- Results oriented approach, High attention to detail, self-motivated, focused, and reliable.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders.
- High level of computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Office suite knowledge.
- Previous experience working in FMCG, and cold environment will be highly regarded.
