**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**
This reputable Local Council in the Southern Highlands has recently opened an opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer to join their team. Employees in this team have a keen desire to deliver work at the highest quality, thus collaboratively assisting each other with their projects.
**ABOUT THE POSITION.**
In this position, you will assist the Team Leader and the team with ensuring compliance and regulations are met. As an Environmental Health Officer, you will assist the team by participating in a business transformation model to achieve cultural change and succeed in accomplishing agreed service delivery outcomes.
**DUTIES.**
- Undertake programmed audits of onsite sewage management systems
- Undertake investigations and compliance actions relating to environmental health matters with a particular focus on onsite sewer management
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.**
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health, Environmental Science or equivalent discipline
- Previous demonstrated experience in the establishment, implementation and review of environmental compliance programs including on site sewer management audits
- Ability to critically analyse different sewage management systems
- Comprehensive demonstrated knowledge in contemporary environmental health systems and associated requirements
