**About the School**:
Talara Primary College is an Independent Public School with over 120 staff supporting approximately 1050 students from Prep to Year 6. About the Role
As the Teacher Aide working with our First Nations students, you will:

- Work closely with the First Nations Coordinator to contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers and students in the classroom environment.
- Support activities with the objective of improving learning outcomes of First Nations students.
- Be actively involved in the building of cultural experiences for our First Nations students and the wider school community.
- Provide resourcing for cross cultural awareness training to the broader school community.

We are looking for an individual who can build strong connections with our community and our First Nations students providing support to ensure they thrive in all aspects of their lives.

**A mandatory requirement of this role is**:

- When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
- For this position, it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
