**Agency Overview**
The NSW Health Efficiency Improvement and Support Team (EIST) is a business unit of the “System Sustainability and Performance Division” of NSW Health with a vision to support strategic change and sustainability in the NSW Health System. The team consists of experienced clinicians, finance managers and accountants as well as skilled project and program managers.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Senior Manager Performance, Analytics and Partnerships, the Program Officer is responsible for a comprehensive range of project management, stakeholder engagement and change management activities, involving Local Health Districts and Networks with activities that will drive identification and design of strategies to meet the objective of rostering maturity towards rostering optimisation for NSW Health.

The Program Officer, Performance analytics and Partnerships is a member of the System Purchasing Branch - Efficiency Improvement and Support Team and works collegially to meet the objectives and aims of best practice rostering design for NSW Health; promoting improvements in quality and safety of patient care; adequate staffing coverage; and staff training needs.

**Selection Criteria**
- Awareness of staff rostering procedures, protocols and practices within a hospital environment and qualifications or equivalent; and demonstrated understanding of rostering best practice in nursing, allied health, medical or corporate services.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project or program management including planning, budget management and achieving outcomes within budget and deadlines, including managing multiple, concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated superior verbal, written, interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to motivate, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to share ownership of strategic and project objectives.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare draft written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused resourcing solutions especially in the context of ensuring efficient and cost-effective rostering within the hospital environment.
- Proven ability to implement change management initiatives, including the planning, managing change, improving performance, management of risks, and ensuring adoption of new initiatives.
- Advanced skills in communicating qualitative and quantitative information to varying audiences using Microsoft Office products, or similar, in a creative and innovative format.
- Capacity and willingness to travel to locations within NSW regional towns and centres on an ad hoc basis and overnight as required including a current NSW Drivers Licence.
