**About the Role**

As a Disability Support Worker at Circle of Kindness, you will play an essential role in assisting individuals with complex needs to improve their quality of life. Your effective communication skills and hands-on experience will help ensure the delivery of outstanding care and support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build strong, trusting relationships with individuals by providing consistent and compassionate support.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household activities, while promoting independence.
- Facilitate participation in community activities and social engagements to encourage inclusion.
- Provide emotional support and implement positive behavior strategies to empower individuals.
- Accurately document daily activities, progress, and any incidents.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored support.

**About You**

We are looking for individuals who are:

- **Experienced**: You have proven experience as a Disability Support Worker or in a related field.
- **Strong Communicators**: Your English communication skills are clear, professional, and empathetic, enabling you to connect effectively with both individuals and teams.
- **Caring and Compassionate**: You have a genuine passion for supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals.
- **Professional and Reliable**: You maintain clear boundaries and deliver consistent, high-quality care.
- **Calm and Adaptable**: You remain composed and effective in responding to challenging situations.

**Essential Criteria**:

- At least 6 months of experience as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with children check (WWCC)
- police check
- Driver’s license and reliable transport (preferred).
- Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends if required.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Subcontract, Casual, Contract, Volunteer
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $23.47 - $48.89 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Annual bonus
- Overtime pay

Work Location: In person
