**The Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity exists for a young professional looking to join a well known, leading retail business. Located in the South Eastern suburbs and boasting a strong team culture.

In working in this high volume, fast paced & collaborative team, you will quickly develop a stronger understanding of the Credit and Banking accounting functions.

**About You**

My client does not seek many years of experience for this role and are happy and willing to build on an existing knowledge and the right working attitude.

What we are looking for is the following;
- An understanding of Banking, specifically reconciliations
- A team focused attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow your career
- Ideally some formal qualification in accounting, but not essential

**The Role**

Reporting into the Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following;
- Daily allocation of payments from customers to relevant invoice
- Reconciliation of customer accounts and remittance information
- New customer set ups
- Customer maintenance
- Bank reconciliations (uploading statements, discrepancy investigation, query resolution, weekly reporting)
- Expense management
- Assistance with Month-end activities
- Ad hoc duties as requested
