**Full-time position available** Brooklyn Boy Bagels is Sydney's first true artisan New York bagel maker and bakery. We are a 9-year old business that has seen double-digit growth every year, stemming from a diverse business of over 200 wholesale customers, supermarkets, groceries, hotels, farmer's markets, and our own retail cafe. We are now looking for full time an experienced Packing Room Manager to assist the Operations Manager with overseeing the Packing department, ensuring accurate processes are used for product picking and daily deliveries out of the company. In this role you will work in a team where you will be required to pick orders in preparation for early morning deliveries. You will be required to pick customer orders from manual pick slips where accuracy and speed are key. This is a role that will enable you to become a integral part of a the team responsible for the timely delivery of the products to the customer. Once the team has picked and packed all of the orders then you will be required to clean and sanitise the packing area in preparation for the next shift. **You will be responsible**: - For the activities and efficiency of the Packing Team - To manage all production activity, including order preparation and room clean-up - To maintain all tools & equipment in good working order - To oversee and ensure appropriate supplies of all packing material - For food safety and cleanliness practices of the packing room staff and facilities - To design and implement processes for all packing tasks and to suggest material, equipment and machinery needs - Strong attention to detail - Previous managerial experience - leadership acumen and dedication to mentoring and training the packing team - Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment and experience with food safety and HACCP & Quality Control - Experience with rostering - Strong organisational and planning skills - Thrives in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written - Enthusiasm and willingness to learn with a "can do" attitude - Strong decision making and problem-solving skills **You must be able to**: - Work night-shifts and weekends.
