**About Us - Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local**

The Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local is an integrated service between Monash Health Community, Early in Life Mental Health Service and a partnership with Windermere Family Services. The service sees children 0-11 years who present with developmental, behavioural and mental health concerns with a focus on priority populations. The Children’s Local Service is based in Cranbourne with additional sites across the catchments of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia.

**About the Role**

This full time ongoing position for a Grade 1 Social Worker role will work within the interdisciplinary team to provide high quality psychosocial support and advocacy through psychosocial assessment, intervention, counselling, discharge planning, information provision and facilitating access to community services. Social workers function as key members of the team and have a pivotal role where social complexity exists.

**Key technical skills specific to this role include**:

- experience workng with children and families including at risk children
- knowledge and sensitivity to ethical and cultural considerations and how this impacts access
- experience in responding to change by contributing constructively to new ideas or change processes
- innovative approaches to problem solving for individuals and/or service delivery
