An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Communications Coordinator to join a thriving media team on a permanent (P/T basis - 3 x days per week).

**The Role**:
Reporting into the Media & Content Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s external communications. You will be accountable for all divisions of the organisation as a shared service resource. The role seeks to maximise opportunities to promote the organisation’s business activities to external audiences through a range of media platforms / channels. You will also assist with media enquires, and administration within the media crisis team, when required.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Review & Improve all external communications across all divisions
- Develop external communication plans and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Respond to media enquires across all divisions
- Plan and develop newsworthy stories that position the brand favourably across target audiences
- Develop and maintaining good working relationships with journalists and external agencies
- Maintaining and update the media contact database.
- Overall coordination and administration of the Issues & Crisis Management process throughout the organisation
- Monitor social media activity across all platforms, recommend action response across any negative issues.
- Update the company website ensuring currency & accuracy of information is published

**Key Requirements**:

- Seeking 2-3 years PR and communications industry experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder skills to manage relationships across senior management and external agencies
- Communications / media qualified
- Good understanding of external communication strategies and implementing campaigns
- Demonstrated understanding of crisis & issues management
- Strong skills in website administration and managing social media platforms
