We currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Consultant Advice Governance and Compliance **to join our high-profile **Wealth Advice Remediation **business. Reporting to the Manager Advice Professional Services, Legacy Advice, you will have the opportunity to draw on your technical Advice compliance, risk and governance capabilities to support the Legacy Advice Australian Financial Services Licences’ (AFSLs) critical governance, compliance and risk functions, while also helping the business navigate and manage changes to existing processes for these functions once all remediation activity can be completed and the AFSLs closed.

**What you will doing**
- Managing change and undertaking project work to realise the key deliverables of Legacy Advice over the next 6 months
- Compliance with legislative, regulatory and internal obligations including risk event (issue and breach) management, control monitoring and testing and ASIC reference checking.
- Facilitation of the end-to-end risk event management process for issues, incidents or other events that arise across a broad stakeholder group.
- Facilitating Risk Events through the event lifecycle from Identification and Lodgement through to Investigation, Rectification and Remediation and Closure.
- Conducting targeted and thematic investigations.
- Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; design, test and perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.
- Assisting with investigation and information support for litigation matters, regulatory engagement and responses.

**What you will bring**
- 5+ years project & change management experience
- Strong experience (3+ years) in financial advice compliance or risk functions
- A solid understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for financial services within Australia.
- Knowledge of processes, policies and regulations impacting the Legacy Advice / BAU Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) & Remediation teams and ability to identify/manage relevant risk impacts.
- Financial planning qualifications (DFP or ADFP) preferred.
- Exposure to Advice/financial services governance functions including Board and committee reporting and risk management, investigations and incident management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver within required timeframes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously to deliver to required timeframes.
