An opportunity exists to join the Strategic Communications, Engagement and Protocol Branch as Head of First Peoples' Communications, Campaigns and Media at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Head of First Peoples' Communications, Campaigns and Media, reporting to Chief Communications Officer and Chief of Protocol, will lead the establishment and management of the Communication Strategy and Media team for First Peoples State Relations (FPSR) Group priorities, particularly in building awareness and understanding of Treaty-Truth-Voice in Victoria.
The role requires expertise in strategic communications, campaign delivery, transformation strategy and offers the opportunity to showcase your strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with an ability to influence and drive change.
About you
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level planning and project managing the implementation of communications programs within a complex environment.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing a communications team in diverse and dynamic organisational environments.
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality, innovative communication and content strategies and materials.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluating projects as part of continual improvement.
