**The Workforce Intelligence team**
The Workforce Intelligence Team transforms raw data into strategic intelligence that drives informed decision making at the highest levels. We provide a range of data and reporting products to support strategic workforce planning, promote the effective governance and management of employees, identify and mitigate workforce risks and fulfil legislative and government reporting responsibilities.

**The Role**
In this role you’ll be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting human resources data to inform strategic decisions and policies related to workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement. You’ll use various data analysis tools, to generate meaningful insights, and presenting findings to support evidence-based HR practices within the organization. You’ll also work with corporate and business intelligence systems to maintain our organisational structures and the integrity of our data.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Gather and consolidate HR-related data from various sources within the organization.
- Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics, workforce demographics, and performance indicators.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of HR data by conducting data validation and cleansing processes.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders about their needs regarding organisation change and maintain organisational structures and positions in the HR system.

**Eligibility**
Please note, under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing.

This selection process may be used to establish a merit pool. The pool might be accessed to fill ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies for similar roles in the Department over the next 18 months.

**Citizenship** - to be eligible for employment with the Department, you must be an Australian Citizen or, in limited circumstances, in the process of obtaining it.
