**Position Information**:
Mount Pritchard East Public School is a small school located on Darug land in South West Sydney with a current enrolment of between 210-220 students and a staff of 20-25. We have between 8-12% Aboriginal students, 60-70% students with English as an Additional Language and/or Dialect and 5-10% of students are born overseas. Our FOEI is 146. The school grounds are a combination of grassy areas, shaded quiet play areas, a section of playground equipment and an asphalt surface covered by a large shade structure.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with exceptional skill in evidence-based, explicit teaching, differentiation and effective feedback underpinned by high exceptions.

Demonstrated high level experience in providing differentiated support and mentorship for a diverse staff whilst balancing the dual role of classroom teacher and a member of the executive team to support the implementation of the School Excellence Plan (SEP).

Proven ability to provide visible, approachable and relational leadership, with outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to engage staff, students, parents and the wider educational community in building positive and collaborative partnerships.

Demonstrated expertise in leading differentiated, high-impact professional learning, ensuring the continual development of teacher capability and growth across all key learning areas.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning- 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
