**About the role**
Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced casual Animal Attendant to assist in operations at the Bathurst Animal Rehoming Centre.
You will hold a Certificate II in Animal Care and be motivated to maintain high standards of animal welfare. Animal Attendants are required to undertake duties such as cleaning and disinfection of kennels/condos, and care and exercise of impounded animals.
**Key Requirements**
- Experience in a similar role, particularly focusing on care of dogs and cats
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Experience in handling aggressive or dangerous dogs will be highly regarded

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.
**Salary**:$38.01 per hour + superannuation + Adverse 2 allowance
**Position Status**: Casual
**Hours of work**:Typical start time on weekdays is 8:00am, on weekends/public holidays 6:30am. Length of shift varies.
