We are seeking a reliable, mature, and highly experienced **male disability support worker** for a critical casual role (4-8 hours per week) in **Sunbury, VIC**. This position involves working 1:1 with a participant who requires consistent, calm, and confident behavioural support, **particularly during evening hours.**

You’ll be joining a high-functioning multidisciplinary care team (BSP, OT, psychologist, plan managers, and existing NDC staff), so **excellent communication and collaboration skills are non-negotiable**. You’ll also be working alongside an **outstanding existing support worker,**your ability to work as a team and communicate clearly with her is essential.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in disability support (behaviours of concern essential)
- Must be **male** (participant preference)
- Based in or near **Sunbury, VIC**:

- Must have your **own vehicle and valid driver’s licence**:

- Confidence in using de-escalation strategies and redirection techniques
- Calm, emotionally mature, and consistent
- High level of accountability and reliability
- Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction
- Must work well with others, this is a **team-focused role**

- Car registration and comprehensive insurance

This is a **serious and sensitive role**. We work closely and respectfully with the participant’s entire support network. **If you’re unreliable, uncommunicative, or not confident managing complex behaviours, this isn’t the job for you.**
